I’m very excited to announce that the Fleurs rejetées series launch will place at Résonance Café on Nov10 at 21:00. All the composers and performers are now up on the project tumblr blog, fleursrejetees.tumblr.com. There is also more specific info on the Facebook event page.

Putting together this series has been an exhilarating experience. Singing so much new music in varying styles all at once is a great reminder of just how diverse the contemporary classical scene is, and how underrepresented certain types of ideas can be. If you’re in Montreal on Tuesday, join us! The songs run the gamut from historical poetry in new musical settings, to an operatic cat song and a very dramatic tango, all about rejection.
