I was thrilled to perform last night to a very enthusiastic crowd last night at Résonance Café in Montréal. Erin Saoirse Adair played the first set of the evening, and she serenaded us with everything from social issues to folksy strains to a song about her cat. I was glad to share the stage with her for the first time, as I have loved her music ever since we e-met during the CBC Music Searchlight Contest in 2014.
Marie-Claire Saindon joined me on viola to present a mostly acoustic edition of GRAVITY WING. I presented my narrative and talked a bit about the novel behind the music. I also made sure to include Milo and Celestine, so that cats from space as well as cats from Earth were represented.
I was especially thrilled to play my final song of the evening, Borrowed, on Erin’s guitar. Sharing the stage with wonderful musical friends is the best way to spend an evening.
Please join me again on August 6th when I perform during the Concerts Kaleidoscope premiere.
